A White House official told The Daily Beast a viral image appearing to show Trump kissing aide Natalie Harp on a golf course is 'clearly a fake.' Two versions circulated online, one blurry and one sharper, the latter carrying an OpenAI watermark and AI artifacts like hands with too many fingers, according to Snopes' analysis.

Deepfake expert Hany Farid said the higher-resolution image was clearly derived from the lower-resolution one, while calling the original's authenticity 'inconclusive.' The images spread amid scrutiny of Trump's relationship with Harp, following reports of a $45,000 cash gift, and a previously debunked AI video of her grinning behind him.

The full dispatch is available from the source below.

✒ FROM THE EDITORIAL DESK
When your defense is that the picture with too many fingers on the hand is the fake one, you've already agreed to argue on some strange ground. The sharper copy was built off the blurry one, and nobody will say what the blurry one is. Everybody involved seems content to leave it there.
