Minneapolis needs election judges for early voting

The Minnesota Supreme Court ordered Minneapolis to appoint bipartisan election judges for early voting sites during the 18-day pre-Election-Day window, after a voter advocacy group alleged the city was illegally using nonpartisan clerks and municipal staff to do election judges' work. The court found no reason those judges' usual duties — resolving voter challenges, helping voters mark ballots — shouldn't apply equally to early voting.
