Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem urged Arab and Muslim nations to unite against an Israeli proposal to remove Palestinians from Gaza, calling recent ministerial statements 'an extremely dangerous development.' National security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir outlined a plan to remove 250,000 Palestinians in year one and the remaining roughly 2 million over six years, while Defense Minister Israel Katz said Israel awaits U.S. help finding destinations for the displaced.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has floated removing Palestinians from the West Bank as well, where settler attacks have risen. The forced displacement of civilians in occupied territory is classified as a war crime under the Geneva Conventions, a fact that sits uneasily beside President Trump's earlier proposal to turn Gaza into a resort, an idea he abandoned after pushback from Egypt.
