Prime Minister Tarique Rahman told an audience in Kishoreganj that Bangladesh must stay alert to misinformation spreaders and rumor-mongers, urging people to judge such figures by their past conduct and respond to them 'as we did in the past.' He singled out groups he said were absent from the streets during the 1971 Liberation War, the political upheavals of 1986 and 1996, and the anti-government movement of the past 17 years, while now making statements about reform.

Rahman used the event to distribute Family Cards, allowances for imams, muezzins, priests and monks, and financial assistance for disabled and distressed residents, alongside a job appointment letter. He touted agricultural loan waivers benefiting 13 lakh farmers, a planned 250-kilometer canal excavation, free education for women through graduate level, and the resolution of retirement benefits for 123,000 teachers.
