Ukrainian drone plant target of failed arson plot in Slovakia

Slovak prosecutors say three men detained on August 25 planned to set fire to a plant run by Ukrainian drone maker Skyeton, which produces UAVs for civilian and military use. A group calling itself 'Global Citizens Against War 1984' claimed responsibility for the failed plot, while police seized a gasoline-and-polystyrene mixture commonly used to make napalm, along with a hand-drawn plan of the facility.

German authorities separately detained a 26-year-old Latvian citizen in Hamburg on suspicion of involvement, with extradition proceedings underway. Skyeton itself said in a statement that Russian actors 'regularly attempt to attack' its facilities and reputation, framing the plot as evidence the company has become 'a real thorn' in Russia's side.
