GAO reviewed the fiscal year 2025 financial audit of the Congressional Award Foundation, a privately funded charity established by Congress to recognize youth achievement, and found no significant issues with how the audit itself was performed. The independent auditor had already given the Foundation's financial statements a clean, unmodified opinion for 2025 and 2024, identifying no material weaknesses or compliance problems.

The Foundation concurred with the auditor's findings, and the auditor had no further comments on GAO's review. GAO's review does not itself constitute an opinion on the Foundation's finances, only on whether the original audit was done properly.
