UK gives Ukraine Storm Shadow know-how to develop its own long-range weapon

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, on his first foreign trip since taking office, announced during a Kyiv visit that the UK will let defense firm MBDA share information on Storm Shadow/SCALP missile components so Ukraine can develop its own long-range weapon. Burnham was the only E3 leader to visit Kyiv on Ukraine's Independence Day.

Burnham also pledged €3.5 billion in annual UK military assistance 'for as long as necessary' and urged partners to bolster Ukraine's air defenses ahead of winter.
