A 30-year-old man injured in Russia's September 1 attack on Kyiv has died in hospital, Kyiv's military administration announced, bringing the death toll from that strike to nine. The overnight assault used ballistic missiles including Zircon and Iskander types along with drones, striking a railway depot in Darnytskyi district, an apartment building, and homes and businesses in nearby Boryspil.

Seven of the dead were killed in the depot strike, six of them railway workers, with the attack coming as Ukrainian students began the new school year on the Day of Knowledge.
