Donald Trump used a Time magazine interview to relitigate his feelings about press coverage, weeks after banning CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House over what he called lies. A federal judge temporarily blocked that ban, though CNN remains barred from covering his current Texas and Oklahoma trip.

Amid a lengthy complaint about never getting fair coverage despite what he called a hundred great things he has done, Trump singled out CNN's Kaitlan Collins by name, calling her a very average and unhappy person. He then pivoted to describing the crowds at his rallies.

A man who has done a hundred great things usually doesn't need to tell a reporter so in the middle of an interview about something else. Calling a cable anchor average and unhappy by name is the kind of thing you'd expect from the guy at the end of the bar after his team loses, not the fellow holding the nuclear codes. And barring the outfit that annoys you from the trip only proves they got under your skin.
