A 16-year-old from Novokuznetsk died by suicide after four months at Russia's Alabuga special economic zone, where Iranian-designed Shahed drones are assembled for strikes on Ukraine. His parents describe a regime of harsh discipline, sleep deprivation and hazing, and say a psychiatrist attributed his depression to prolonged stress at the facility.
The parents also allege, without providing further detail, that intercepted correspondence connects his death to his involvement at Alabuga. They say law enforcement has returned only form responses and shown no interest in investigating.
