CNN host Abby Phillip said on a panel discussion that President Trump is not 'living in the real world,' pointing to his claim that Americans are angry at Republicans generally but not at him personally.

Phillip cited a CNN poll putting Trump's approval at a record low, with 65% of respondents saying his policies have worsened economic conditions. A separate Fox News poll put his approval at 39%, and Trump, asked about it, said simply that people 'are angry at Republicans. But they're not angry at me.'

Panelists also pointed to polling showing even non-college voters who helped elect him in 2024 have soured, and one guest suggested MAGA had displaced traditional GOP commitments to free markets and limited government.
