Podcaster Shawn Ryan, a former Navy SEAL who once interviewed and backed Donald Trump, told a joint episode with Steven Bartlett's show that he has reversed his support, citing among other things the administration's handling of the Epstein files and what he called a blundering approach to a war in Iran that Trump launched in February. Ryan said he sees no positive outcome for America from the conflict and that nothing about the current situation 'makes any damn sense' to him anymore.

Bartlett, who said he isn't American and tries to stay neutral, agreed he couldn't reason his way to a good outcome either. Neither offered specifics beyond their general unease.

✒ FROM THE EDITORIAL DESK

When the people who climbed on the bandwagon early start climbing back off and saying the ride doesn't go where they were told, that's worth a raised eyebrow, not a shrug. Ryan isn't a senator or a general, just a guy with a microphone who once vouched for the product, and now he's telling his audience the warranty didn't cover much. Take it for what it's worth, which is one man's gut feeling, but guts like that tend to be contagious.
