First Lady Melania Trump reconvened her Fostering the Future Together coalition at the UN General Assembly, welcoming representatives from countries including the UK, South Korea, the Philippines, Poland, Ukraine, and the UAE, and announcing the group now spans 57 nations. New corporate partnerships were unveiled with Adobe, Amazon, Intel, Starlink, Google, and Zoom, with Apple's Tim Cook and PayPal's Enrique Lores also in attendance.

The First Lady's remarks called the gathering 'the largest assembly of First Spouses ever convened' at the White House for diplomatic purposes, and urged coalition members to help children 'bend the boundaries of imagination' and 'explore new frontiers of intellect.' The press release does not specify what the coalition has actually delivered for any child anywhere, only who showed up and which companies got named.

Fifty-seven nations, a room full of technology executives, and not one sentence about a child who is better off than she was last year. When the guest list is the whole report, somebody's counting heads because the results won't hold still long enough to be counted. Adobe and Zoom did not fly to New York for the imagination, and everybody in that room knows it.
