The White House announced the conclusion of a state visit between President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, calling it the first Chinese presidential visit to the White House in over a decade and the first time a Chinese leader has made two formal state visits to the U.S.

The release quotes President Trump calling the meeting one of 'Friendship, Strength, and Success' for both countries, with much 'accomplished' and more to come, though no specifics on what was actually agreed are offered.

When the host writes the review of his own dinner party, you can pretty much guess the stars. Friendship and strength and success are fine words, but a person would like to know what was actually on the plate besides the adjectives. Until somebody names one thing that got agreed, this was a very nice evening that the White House has decided to call history.
