The Collective Security Treaty Organization kicked off joint exercises in Belarus on Oct. 12, dubbed Indestructible Brotherhood-2026 and Barrier-2026, with troops from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Belarus. The alliance says more than 1,500 personnel, 300-plus pieces of heavy weaponry and roughly 80 drones are involved, spread across the Losvido and Starodorozhsky training grounds.

At Losvido, units are rehearsing a joint peacekeeping operation under the CSTO's Collective Peacekeeping Forces banner. At Starodorozhsky, the drill shifts to containing simulated biological warfare threats.

This follows May drills in Belarus that rehearsed deploying non-strategic tactical nuclear weapons, which Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov openly described as a signal to NATO.

The full dispatch is available from the source below.

✒ FROM THE EDITORIAL DESK
Calling it a peacekeeping drill is like calling a dog pile a parade formation. Peskov already told everybody what the May drills meant, so nobody needs a decoder ring for this one either. When the neighbor keeps rehearsing how he'd come onto your porch, you don't call it community spirit.
