An oil refinery in Volgograd has halted all crude processing after a Ukrainian drone attack on October 2, Reuters reported, citing sources. Regional Governor Andrey Bocharov confirmed a “massive drone attack on industrial infrastructure” without naming specific targets, while eyewitnesses posted footage of a large fire near the refinery.
The plant, owned by Lukoil, can process about 14 million metric tons of crude a year, roughly 5% of Russia's total refining capacity. It has now been struck at least three times this year, including attacks on May 29 and July 31.
