Global Voices, a nonprofit media network, is running a fundraising drive for an editorial project called ‘Big Tech and Authoritarianism,’ examining how large technology companies interact with repressive governments worldwide.

The pitch includes a donation ladder: $1,000 buys an extra analysis column, $3,000 buys a podcast, $15,000 buys a mystery add-on the organization will decide on later. All funds not reaching a stretch goal will go to general newsroom support.
