The argument here is that a five-star general who ran the Normandy landings settled for lesser aviation infrastructure, and that this constitutes a national deficiency now corrected. Note the escalation of need: not wanted, not budgeted, but required by ‘America,’ which was apparently consulted. And the signature — a man signing his own social media post as though it were a treaty, in case anyone reading the President's account mistook it for someone else's. Historians will have to weigh the Interstate Highway System against this.
