Geography is not a naming-rights opportunity, and a strait between two sovereign countries is not among the things a U.S. president gets to relabel by posting. The claim of control is the load-bearing fiction; everything after it is decoration, including the promise that a waterway can be made hotter, which is either meteorology or flattery and is definitely not policy. Then comes the thanks for our attention to this matter, the phrasing of a man forwarding a complaint about his own neighbor's fence to the entire planet. We attended. It did not help.
