There is a special genre of political analysis that begins with looking at a photograph and ends with knowing what millions of people are thinking, and this is a pure specimen of it. Note the machinery: a superlative with no measure behind it, a bloc of voters spoken for without being asked, and a bridge toll retrofitted into a theory of religious costume. It also takes a certain confidence to treat 'Arab' and 'Muslim' as one word while declaring yourself the authority on how both feel. The all-caps verdict at the end is doing the work that evidence usually does, and the third-person signature is the tell: this is a man reading a picture and calling it a poll.
