Treason is a crime with a constitutional definition; it is not a synonym for a story you did not enjoy. Note the load-bearing logic here: the shortage is imaginary, and yet the imaginary shortage is being reported by people who want the country to lose a war it is allegedly winning with ease. That is three unfalsifiable claims stacked into a single accusation of a capital offense, which is quite a lot of construction to hang on the word ‘actually.’ A government confident in its supply lines does not need to threaten the people counting them.
