The Game loses sexual assault appeal

A California appellate court upheld a $7.1 million default judgment against rapper Jayceon Terrell Taylor, known as The Game, in favor of Priscilla Rainey, who first accused him of sexual assault in 2015 and sued again in 2021 over unpaid royalties. Taylor argued the judgment should be vacated on procedural grounds, including claims about mailing and summons errors.

The court found the summons was substantially compliant with state law and rejected his procedural challenges, leaving the judgment intact.
