✒ FROM THE EDITORIAL DESK
When the person who appoints the Attorney General shares speculation about what ‘could’ happen to a political opponent, it isn't commentary. It's a memo with a byline borrowed from cable. Stripping citizenship from a naturalized American is supposed to be a rare, court-bound ordeal, not something floated alongside a TV pundit's hunch. The tell is the outsourcing: he lets someone else type the threat and then simply hands it to millions of followers, menace with plausible deniability and no editing, down to the broken URL.
