The claim that Maher is desperate for his approval is advanced by documenting, call by call, how much the author wants Maher's, and citing polls from a network he routinely brands fake news to prove another man uses fake polls is a loop only its author could find airtight. Vowing to steer Republicans away from covering a comedian is not a rebuttal; it is the head of a party announcing he would like to curate its media diet over a cable joke.
