✒ FROM THE EDITORIAL DESK
A president who cannot settle on how to spell a man’s name in a single paragraph has appointed himself the judge of that man’s soul, and the verdict, naturally, is ‘Jihadist.’ That is not debate analysis; it is a slur stapled to a press release, with ‘Short on Stature’ tossed in as a playground taunt. The closing argument for the Republican candidate is, in the end, about the author’s own Michigan victory, because every endorsement eventually becomes a mirror. If this were a fight, the referee would be checking the ringside commentator for a concealed brick.
