A price can fall by at most 100 percent, at which point the pharmacy is paying you; anything beyond that is not a discount but a hallucination. The ladder of 300, 400, 500, 600 and 700 reads less like data than like an auctioneer warming up. Going from the world’s highest prices to its lowest would be the most dramatic economic event in modern medicine, and patients at the counter would presumably have noticed.
